Neurogenetic disorders are caused by inherited or acquired genetic abnormalities that affect the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, or neuromuscular systems. Many of these conditions are progressive, difficult to treat, and associated with significant unmet medical need. Because the nervous system is protected by complex biological barriers, delivering therapeutics to the affected tissues remains one of the major challenges in neurological medicine.
